We have some last minute specials & discounts on currently which do not have all the restrictions and requirements.  You may select dinner without all the extras which add up.

For 20-70 guests

We offer a romantic lakeside location with breathtaking surroundings for a relaxed yet stylish celebration.  Please have a look at our web site for resort photos and information, and contact us with any questions.

BANQUET ROOM--Boathouse Lounge and Deck-- $600
Air conditioned- panoramic lake view, oak dance floor and brick fireplace. Adjacent is our beautiful lakeside patio overlooking a boardwalk where couples often exchange vows.  

For groups with over 70 guests ren
ting all rooms for two nights our Boathouse lounge is available any time during your stay.

For groups of 40-70 renting 20 or more rooms for two nights our Boathouse lounge is available November to May or Sunday to Thursday June to October.  Enquire.  Last minute or close to the date Saturday may be available.

For outdoor meals groups we suggest a marquee for the deck at additional cost.

NOTE: If the lounge cannot be guaranteed for the date of your choice due to the above restrictions we are happy to add you to a waiting list. We would plan for the event to be held in our dining room and should be able to let you know 14 days prior if the lounge is available.

DINING ROOM-- For groups of 20-50 we provide our dining room.
If you do not occupy all rooms we cannot guarantee exclusive use. If you are hosting a group meal with no additional celebrations or gatherings we can waive the rental fee.   In this case dinner can be offered at either 5 pm or 8 pm.  (additional times may be available during quiet months)

CEREMONY-- $0, $200 or $500 We provide full service set up including chairs and signing table from $200 for up to 20 guests plus $10 per person to a maximum of $500 for up to 80 guests.

There is no additional charge for standing ceremonies in any outdoor or indoor public area location.  

Our beach area is suitable and also boardwalk for up to 80.

You may wish to book one of the local churches if you prefer an indoor ceremony or as the “rainy day plan”.

Alternatively you may wish to rent  a marquee for the beach  (if 80 guests) or lawn if smaller number to ensure the ceremony will continue outdoors in the event of rain or you may opt  to rent  our Executive Hospitality suite in the chalet  or Boathouse lounge instead - Provided you meet the minimum requirements above to rent these spaces. If you are dining in the lounge guests could sit at their place settings for the ceremony.  You may have your ceremony on site any time after 4 pm.  TIP-ask guests to bring an umbrella in the event of light rain.

ACCOMMODATION--35 rooms on site

Room rental requirements— For Weddings with late evening celebrations the following room rental requirements apply.  If you are not hosting a late evening celebration these requirements do not apply.

All 35 rooms must be rented for two nights for weekend weddings Maye thru til the third weekend in October.  Unless available last minute or fairly close to the date.

25 rooms must be rented for two nights for weekend weddings the last weekend of October to May. Unless available last minute or fairly close to the date.

10 rooms must be rented for all other dates.

If fewer rooms are rented, the organizer is responsible for full payment of the remaining rooms.

 

Bonfire--We have a  firepit by the beach you are welcome to enjoy without restrictions if you book all  rooms.  Otherwise it is available for quiet gatherings to 11 pm. If you plan for a later evening gathering we have another firepit in our activities field that you may enjoy til the wee hours without interrupting other resort guests.  
Fir
ewood is available at $10 per bag + $25 delivery for all the bags.

30 days notice is required if you wish us to handle this for you. No glass is permitted anywhere outside of dining room or bedrooms. An extra cleaning fee may apply if your guests do not pick up after themselves. You may wish to ask guests to bring collapsible chairs.

2011 package... 2012 under construction

 The following room rates are per night for one or two guests and do not include any meals.


The rates based on a two night reservation.

Each guest is an additional $70 per night.

All rooms must be reserved with deposit at least 90 days prior to your wedding.

Breakfast is an additional $15 per person and will be added onto the room rate.

 All rates are subject to  15%  Resort Facility Fee ( aka Service Charge)  + tax

Out of consideration for other guests, noise restrictions may apply unless all rooms are occupied by your group.

 

REHEARSAL DINNER--For your Friday evening event consider  a casual indoor or outdoor dinner followed by a bon fire or group gathering.  Buffets for groups of 40-50 are available in the dining room from $40 per person.    Buffet includes fresh bread, tossed salad, pasta salad, potato salad, beef, chicken and vegetable kabobs, rice and assorted desserts, coffee or tea.

 If you wish a more casual event we can do a BBQ for groups of 20 or more with burgers, hot dogs, potato salad, green salad and sweets for $30 per person. If you are booking all rooms and prefer to host this evening you may wish to rent our Executive Hospitality  Suite in the chalet.

The executive suite is available for socializing at $500 per day to those who have rented all chalet units.

MENU-- Discounts in  November-April

Customize a lovely meal to suit your budget and individual needs with 3 to 7 courses.   All special dietary needs are easily accommodated with advance notice.  Please see our special events menu for Food and Beverage options and pricing.

Dinner Wine- Only items purchased on our liquor license can be served in our Dining room Lounge and Patio.
We recommend a minimum of 1 x  750 ml bottle per 4 guests. All LCBO products are available with 45 days notice.


CHAMPAGNES & SPARKLING WINES- All LCBO products are available with advance notice.
Segura Viudas Brut $35 
Sparkling wine toast full service $5 pp or self service from pre poured glasses $3 pp + cost of selected wine.
HOST BAR- Billing is based on actual consumption or special package price. The amount can be capped if you wish to keep it within a budget.  The bar closes at 12 a.m.
$18 per hour per bartender fee will apply for a minimum of 4 hours. All
alcohol provided in our licensed areas must be purchased through our liquor license.

Executive Suite $500 per day  ( a private hospitality room in the chalet )
Camp Firewood $10 per 5 lb bag + $25 delivery (or you are welcome bring your own)

In summary you can host a wedding at Westwind for as little as $80 pp all the way up to $180 pp. It depends on what you are looking for and how much you want us to do. If you are on a tight budget we offer many opportunities to save if you are willing to pitch in.

 

1. $100 per room per night is required to reserve accommodations. A $5000 deposit is required to
secure your function date. All deposits are non-refundable in the event of cancellation. $2500 will be
held as a security deposit for 72 hours following the event. The deposit will be returned less any
outstanding balances or extra charges. As hosts you are responsible for your guests and whatever
losses, fines or damages they incur. We reserve the right to charge any outstanding balances to your
credit card.
2. Guaranteed numbers, menu selections and itinerary must be finalized 45 days prior to event. Billing is
based on guaranteed numbers or actual attendance whichever is greater.
3. Payment of 50 % of the full estimated amount is due 6 months prior to the event. The balance is due
60 days prior to the event. All payments must be made by cheque, cash or debit card.
4. We reserve the right to cancel any confirmed function that alters significantly in numbers.
5. With the exception of wedding cakes no food or beverage items are to be brought into Westwind Inn.
6. All rates are subject to 13% HST.
7. Your signature at the bottom of each page signifies agreement and acknowledgment all terms and
details provided throughout the contract. Please be sure to read each page carefully and that you
agree to all terms before reserving.
8. Rates are subject to change without notice. Rates will not increase more than 5% each 12 month
period. Any special arrangements in regards to pricing not included in this contract must be in writing
and approved by Sara Jensen.
9. The organizer agrees to adhere to all scheduled times and begin the meal promptly at the scheduled
time. The organizer is responsible for any extra costs incurred by any delay caused by the organizer or
group member or for extending the scheduled departure.
10. Westwind is primarily a non smoking facility with specific smoking areas. For groups who request
we will designate a additional smoking areas. Smoking in any other areas may result in a fine. As hosts
you are responsible for all fines.
11. A surcharge may apply on holidays. There is a three night minimum during long weekends.
12. We are happy to offer a customized food tasting. Instead of building this into every package price
we only charge those who wish to participate. Prices start at $75 per person for a three course meal
consisting of soup or salad, entree, dessert and consultation with the chef. Reservations are required
noting tasting requirements as the menu must be planned at least 14 days in advance.
