Peterborough in the heart of the Kawartha Lakes Region. We offer a romantic lakeside location with breathtaking
surroundings for a relaxed yet stylish celebration. This package provides menu and pricing based on 80-150 guests.

BANQUET ROOM--The air conditioned Boathouse Lounge is surrounded by greenhouse windows with a panoramic lake
view, beautifully finished with cedar lined walls, oak dance floor and brick fireplace. Adjacent is our grand lakeside patio
overlooking a loveto.org/";ly boardwalk where couples often exchange vows under the pines. Our lounge and deck are offered for
$600 for up to 10 hours. (50% off November to April) Our lounge provides indoor seating for up to 100 guests.
Larger groups may wish to arrange for a marquee to cover the deck to seat an additional 150 guests. Local rental is
from $1000-$3000 based on your requirements. For safety reasons high heels are not permitted on the deck.
CEREMONY--There is no additional charge for standing ceremonies in any outdoor location. We have 30 plastic patio
chairs and a patio table you are welcome to make use of. We can also provide a full service set up including chairs and
signing table for up to 120 guests at $500, an additional charge of $5 per person will apply for over 120 guests. Our
beach is suitable for up to 150 and boardwalk for up to 80. You may wish to book one of the local churches if you prefer
an indoor ceremony or as the “rainy day plan”. Alternatively you may wish to book a marquee for the beach to ensure the
ceremony will continue outdoors in the event of rain or you may opt for our Executive suite or Boathouse lounge instead.
If you are dining in the lounge guests could sit at their place settings for the ceremony. You may have your ceremony on
site any time after 4 pm. TIP-ask guests to bring umbrella's in the event of light rain.
ACCOMMODATION--35 rooms-- Our main lodge has 31 log cabin style rooms all with fireplace, private balcony, full
bathroom, air conditioning and TV. 6 have large heart shaped jet tubs for two and mini fridges. All lodge rooms have
either 1 double or single pull out sofa. Our Chalet has 4 suites with double jet tubs, balcony, mini fridge and fireplace.
To ensure there will not be any drinking and driving the organizers are responsible for arranging transportation for
wedding guests who are not staying overnight at our inn. These guests are welcome to join the ceremony and reception
at no extra charge. For those who wish to arrive early and enjoy use of our facilities a $55 per person day fee will apply.
Advance reservations are required for all day guests. Any guests who have failed to register will be added to the master
account. Taxis that seat 6 are approx $50 per trip or a bus can be arranged from $200 for the first trip, $100 for each
additional trip immediately following. For contact info see Transportation under “Helpful contacts and information”
Room rental requirements--All 35 rooms must be rented for two nights for weekend weddings July thru til the third
weekend in October. 25 rooms must be rented for two nights for weekend weddings the last weekend of October to
June. If fewer rooms are rented, the organizer is responsible for full payment of the remaining rooms.
The following room only rates are per night for up to two guests. Rates based on a two night reservation. Each guest
above the age of 18 is an additional $65 per night. Each guest under 18 is an additional $25 per night. All rooms must
be reserved with deposit at least 90 days prior to your wedding. Breakfast is an additional $15 per person and will be
added onto the room rate. Out of consideration for other guests, there will be no noise permitted outside the banquet
room unless all rooms are occupied by your group.
November to April-Receive 15% off of your banquet meal and 50% off our Lounge fee during these quiet months.

FRIDAY EVENING-Welcome your guests with a bbq style dinner followed by a bon fire. Extra charges can be billed to
each guest if you wish. Buffets for groups of 40-50 are available from $35 per person. Our buffet includes fresh bread,
tossed salad, pasta salad, potato salad, beef, chicken & vegetable kabobs, rice & assorted desserts, coffee or tea.
For a more casual event we can provide a BBQ with burgers, hot dogs, potato salad, green salad and sweets for $25 per
person, with a minimum of 40 guests. If you are booking all rooms and prefer to host this evening you may rent our
Executive suite and provide food and beverages for your guests. The executive suite is available for $500 per day.
Bonfire—We have a great firepit by the beach you are welcome to enjoy. Firewood is available at $8 per bag + $25
delivery or you are welcome to pick it up on your own at the local home hardware. 30 days notice is required if you wish
us to handle this for you. No glass is permitted anywhere outside of dining room or bedrooms. An extra cleaning fee
may apply if your guests do not pick up after themselves. You may wish to ask guests to bring collapsible chairs.

All meals include fresh baked bread, your choice of salad, one entree selection, vegetarian option, dessert and coffee or
tea. Prices include table set up with cutlery, glassware, linens and napkins.

Deposit, Payments, terms and policies
1. $100 per room per night is required when reserving accommodations. A $5000 deposit is required to secure your
function date. All deposits are non-refundable in the event of cancellation. $2500 will be held as a security deposit for 72
hours following the event. The deposit will be returned less any outstanding balances or extra charges. As hosts you are
responsible for your guests and whatever losses, fines or damages they incur. We reserve the right to charge any
outstanding balances to your credit card.
2. Guaranteed numbers, menu selections and itinerary must be finalized 45 days prior to event. Billing is based on
guaranteed numbers or actual attendance whichever is greater.
3. Payment of 50 % of the full estimated amount is due 6 months prior to the event. The balance is due 60 days prior to
the event. All payments must be made by cheque, cash or debit card.
4. We reserve the right to cancel any confirmed function that alters significantly in numbers.
5. With the exception of wedding cakes no food or beverage items are to be brought into Westwind Inn.
6. All rates (except accommodations) are subject to 15% Resort Fee, all rates and fees are subject to HST.
7. Your signature at the bottom of each page signifies agreement and acknowledgment all terms and details provided
throughout the contract. Please be sure to read each page carefully and that you agree to all terms before reserving.
8. Rates are subject to change without notice. Rates will not increase more than 5% each 12 month period. Any
special arrangements in regards to pricing not included in this contract must be in writing and approved by Sara Jensen.
9. The organizer agrees to adhere to all scheduled times and begin the meal promptly at the scheduled time. The
organizer is responsible for any extra costs incurred by any delay caused by the organizer or group member or for
extending the scheduled departure.
10. Westwind is primarily a non smoking facility with specific smoking areas. For groups who request we will designate a
additional smoking areas. Smoking in any other areas may result in a fine. As hosts you are responsible for all fines.
11. A surcharge may apply on holidays. There is a three night minimum during long weekends.
12. We are happy to offer a customized food tasting. Instead of building this into every package price we only charge
those who wish to participate. Prices start at $75 per person for a three course meal consisting of soup or salad,
entree, dessert and consultation with the chef. Reservations are required noting tasting requirements as the menu
must be planned at least 14 days in advance.

We  are a small very intimate family owned & operated lakeside country inn & resort. By renting all 35 rooms for 2 nights (3 on long weekend) you will have exclusive use of the entire resort  for your friends & family for the entire weekend or midweek!!!    31 rooms have a sleeper sofa if you wish more than 2 guests to a room.  (70 guests with 2 in room + whatever # extra).  Extend your stay, arrive earlier and stay a few days longer... make it a vacation and we will offer special rates.

Check in Friday afternoon & you can be on your own for a relaxing time putting  your personalized touches to the banquet room. We can arrange a rehearsal dinner or a casual BBQ with a bonfire.

Next morning a casual breakfast with friends & family followed by fun & relaxation for your friends & perhaps spa treatments & hair styling nearby for you & your bridesmaids. Golf anyone? Fishing? Or in winter skiing?

Then, simply walk to your ceremony location, followed by a reception, dinner, dance? And when its all over simply walk back to your room after a night of celebrating. No worry about driving. A good nights sleep and then more socializing at breakfast.... followed by more fun outdoors...  A weekend to remember.  For overflow we have nearby accommodation at Bed & Breakfasts and Resorts with shuttle transportation available.

Small weddings welcome without all room rental requirements during low seasons, mid week, Sundays... and some last minute bookings. Enquire.

FRIDAY EVENING-Add a nice personal touch and welcome your guests with a bbq style dinner in our dining room or for a more casual event we can provide an outdoor BBQ followed by a bon fire.

Bonfire—We have a great firepit by the beach you are welcome to enjoy free of charge provided guests tidy up after themselves. Glass is not permitted anywhere outside of dining room or bedrooms.  Firewood is available for sale locally or we can sell it to you.

 

We can customize a lovely meal to suit your budget and individual needs with 3 to 7 courses.   All special dietary needs are easily accommodated with advance notice.

Only items purchased on our liquor license can be served in our Dining room Lounge and Patio.
For dinner wine we recommend a minimum of 250 ml per guest. All LCBO products are available with 45 days notice.

-  Guests consume on average $35 per person during a host bar but it varies.
The bar closes at 12: a.m.
$18 per hour per bartender fee will apply for a minimum of 4 hours. All alcohol provided in our licensed areas must be purchased through our liquor license.  Please let us know if you wish us to stock something special.

In summary you can host a wedding at Westwind for as little as $90 pp  all the way up to $300 + pp if your tastes lean towards champagne and caviar, if money is no object. It depends on what you are looking for and how much you want us to do. If you are on a tight budget we offer many opportunities to save if you are willing to pitch in.

 

1. $100 per room per night is required to reserve accommodations. A $5000 deposit is required to
secure your function date. All deposits are non-refundable in the event of cancellation. $2500 will be
held as a security deposit for 72 hours following the event. The deposit will be returned less any
outstanding balances or extra charges. As hosts you are responsible for your guests and whatever
losses, fines or damages they incur. We reserve the right to charge any outstanding balances to your
credit card.
2. Guaranteed numbers, menu selections and itinerary must be finalized 45 days prior to event. Billing is
based on guaranteed numbers or actual attendance whichever is greater.
3. Payment of 50 % of the full estimated amount is due 6 months prior to the event. The balance is due
60 days prior to the event. All payments must be made by cheque, cash or debit card.
4. We reserve the right to cancel any confirmed function that alters significantly in numbers.
5. With the exception of wedding cakes no food or beverage items are to be brought into Westwind Inn.
6. All rates are subject to 13% HST.
7. Your signature at the bottom of each page signifies agreement and acknowledgment all terms and
details provided throughout the contract. Please be sure to read each page carefully and that you
agree to all terms before reserving.
8. Rates are subject to change without notice. Rates will not increase more than 5% each 12 month
period. Any special arrangements in regards to pricing not included in this contract must be in writing
and approved by Sara Jensen.
9. The organizer agrees to adhere to all scheduled times and begin the meal promptly at the scheduled
time. The organizer is responsible for any extra costs incurred by any delay caused by the organizer or
group member or for extending the scheduled departure.
10. Westwind is primarily a non smoking facility with specific smoking areas. For groups who request
we will designate a additional smoking areas. Smoking in any other areas may result in a fine. As hosts
you are responsible for all fines.
11. A surcharge may apply on holidays. There is a three night minimum during long weekends.
12. We are happy to offer a customized food tasting. Instead of building this into every package price
we only charge those who wish to participate. Prices start at $75 per person for a three course meal
consisting of soup or salad, entree, dessert and consultation with the chef. Reservations are required
noting tasting requirements as the menu must be planned at least 14 days in advance.
